Those on Verizon Wireless waiting for the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE will now have to wait for the handset until July. According to DroidLife, Verizon told them that the device would not be launched in June as rumors had suggested and there has been confirmation from other sources that say 5th July is now the target day for the release. Verizon however had not confirmed this date.

Alas this really cannot be called a delay as during the CTIA when the announcement of the handset was made, everyone was told that it would be launched in the coming weeks, with no specific timeframe being given. It is odd however that the HTC DROID Incredible 4G LTE has not been released two months following the device’s announcement. If the handset had managed to get into stores early in June, it would then have had a great start on the Samsung Galaxy S3. Now with the Samsung Galaxy S3 due in stores any day now, the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE will have to follow on in its huge footsteps.
In case you need a refresher, the Droid Incredible 4G LTE comes with the following specs: 4 inch S-LCD screen at 540 x 960, Snapdragon S4 1.2 GHz dual core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB storage with MicroSD card up to 32GB, 8-megapixel camera on the back and a 0.8 megapixel VGA camera on the front, recording of video at 1080p HD, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and a 1700 mAh battery.
