If this rumour is to be believed HTC are working on their next flagship device which would come packed with even more specs than their One X. According to Android&Me, while they are enjoying success with the One X now that the Samsung Galaxy S3 is out, they do not want to be outdone.

A source said that HTC are working on this flagship device and it would have the Qualcomm S4 SoC 1.6 quad core processor which would perhaps be the APQ8064. It is also thought that the handset would have 2GB of RAM, have support for LTE, an 8 megapixel camera on the back and a 1.8 megapixel camera on the front. The display is said to be 4.7 inch 720p. With the addition of the quad core processor this could make it one of the most sought after HTC devices later this year, as well as give the Samsung Galaxy S3 a run for its money (it is a dual-core in the US).
However there are issues as to how credible the rumor is. For instance it states that the handset will have the Adreno 350 GPU, however documents from Qualcomm state that the APQ8064 is combined with the Adreno 320. It could simply be a typo of course but then again it could be someone’s fantasy coming into play.
