Apple may have kept quiet about the iPhone 5 at the WWDC 2012 but according to the Examiner, rumors are still flying around about when we can expect it to grace stores. Since the conference, users have been scouring the internet for any news of products from Apple and in particular news about the release date of the no-show iPhone 5. While Apple have not actually come out and said when the phone will be released, there are some that say they have given a hint about the next generation phone when they made the announcement of iOS 6 and when it would be released i.e. officially set for this fall.
iPhone 5 release date hinted by official iOS 6 fall release announcement
One article even went as far as saying that Apple have all but confirmed the release date of the iPhone 5 as being this fall. By now most of us have come to the conclusion that the phone is not going to be announced anytime soon, as the WWDC would have been the ideal opportunity otherwise. However it is interesting that so many reports have started surfacing regarding Apple having stated that it would indeed be the fall when the device will be launched with iOS 6 preloaded. This seems fitting that Apple would launch their 6th generation iPhone at the same time as the rollout of iOS 6.
With over 200 new features reportedly included in iOS 6, it would without a doubt give the iPhone 5 many more bragging rights if they were to launch simultaneously. So far, we’ve seen that iOS 6 features a new map app. Apple broke the partnership with Google which it has had since 2007 to have their own map app. This would mean that the new iPhone 5 would have turn by turn navigation and Fly over right out of the box.
For now all we can do is wait to see what the fall brings, but one thing is for sure die hard Apple fans will be standing in line the night before the release of the iPhone 5 to be one of the first to get their hands on it.
