According to the folks over at InToday, Samsung will be offering the Galaxy S3 in a special edition red to customers of AT&T in the US. Currently the Samsung Galaxy S3 comes in the forms of marble white and pebble blue. At the moment there is no release date for the red version and it is not showing up for pre-order at the moment, suggesting that it may not be part of the first wave of AT&T Samsung Galaxy S3 units to go on sale the end of this month.
AT&T Samsung Galaxy S3 to come in red color option at a later date?
The Samsung Galaxy S3 is of course one of the most pre-ordered Android phones to date and it comes with a massive 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD screen. The device runs on Android 4.0 ICS and some of its most bragged features include the 8 megapixel camera that has zero shutter lag and its special functions like S-Voice, Smart Stay, S-Beam and more. The camera is also able to capture 1080p video and the handset has a camera in the front for video chat. Running the Android phone is a 1.4GHz quad core processor that has 1GB RAM in international markets while the US gets a dual-core processor and 2GB RAM.
The inspiration for the Samsung Galaxy S3 supposedly comes from nature and is ‘designed for humans’ as Samsung so eloquently puts. Samsung have a number of popular Galaxy phones on the market already including the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy Note and the Galaxy S2 of course.
Have you placed a pre-order for the Samsung Galaxy S3 yet or are you waiting to see what else is on the horizon? And would you hang back for a red Samsung Galaxy S3 or are you smitten by the standard two color options already? Personally, I am waiting to check out the red Samsung Galaxy S3 as the Galaxy S3 design isn’t as inspiring as its hardware. Here’s hoping a color change will help the Samsung Galaxy S3 in the aesthetics department.
