Bigger Samsung Galaxy S3 Spotted, Carriers Yet To Claim This Monster As Own [PICS]

According to PhoneArena, some rather interesting pictures have been leaked of what looks to be a giant Samsung Galaxy S3. However unlike the Galaxy S3, this appears to be a medium size tablet that looks a lot like the S3 but a lot larger. The pictures are thought to be those of the Samsung Google Nexus tablet which is rumored to be a quad core Tegra 3 tablet with a 7 inch screen and running the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Leaked Google Nexus tablet looks like Samsung Galaxy S3 on steroids

The tablet will be in direct competition with the Galaxy Tab and the Kindle Fire. The leaked images come courtesy of PhoneArena and they say they come from a PC screenshot thought to be drafts taken from press images. On looking at the tablet from the front it has the unmistakable look of the Galaxy S3 thanks to the glossy appearance with the curves on the body of the device and the camera which is situated on the front near to the light sensors.

The pictures also show what looks to be an earpiece, which is strange for a tablet and would suggest that the device could be used as a phone just like the Galaxy S3. Whether there is an actual slot for a SIM card is not known at this time. Due to the pictures not being very high in quality it is hard to see whether the device has a home button. The name of the device could be the Google Nexus Slate but this has not been clarified. By all accounts the back of the device is two tone in aluminum and plastic, which would factor in the 3G and 4G antennas.

A big lens can be seen on the back, which suggests a camera. It has also been suggested that the device will run on Android 4.0 and soon 4.1 with an update (Jellybean?). It may also include Google Earth along with street view. As far as we can tell, this may look like the Samsung Galaxy S3 and come with an earpiece but it is still more likely a tablet than a supersized Samsung Galaxy S3 (rumors suggested some US carriers would get a larger Galaxy S3 just like was the case with the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S2). More on this as it develops.
