Once you get your hands on the long awaited Samsung Galaxy S3 you are not going to want to start taking it apart to take a look at the inner workings. Luckily you don’t have to as iFixtit and Chipworks have done it on your behalf.
Samsung Galaxy S3 has same camera sensor as iPhone 4S
Upon opening the Galaxy S3 there is of course the expected Exynos 4 quad core processor and the large 2,100mAh battery. Samsung have been claiming the Galaxy S3 comes with boosted speed and the 8-megapixel camera has better image quality and just how they have managed this has been revealed. The Galaxy Samsung S3 makes use of the same backside-illuminated CMOS sensor that is found in the Sony Xperia Arc and which was a huge hit in the iPhone 4S, possibly the best camera phones on the market.
The large 4.8-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen is attached to the glass permanently and not only to the glass but also the frame of the phone. This of course means those breaking the screen will probably have to have the whole thing replaced in a very tricky operation.
iFixit plans on taking a second scan of the long awaited Samsung Galaxy S3 and will probably make more discoveries of what the phone holds when this happens. We’ll keep you posted as more develops. Have a good weekend folks!
