The long awaited and much anticipated Samsung Galaxy S3 is set to be launched on Verizon any day now as it has now been given the ok by the FCC and designated the model number SCH-I535, reports Droid-Life.
Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 hits FCC
All that is left now is for the actual date of the Samsung Galaxy S3 launch to be announced amid rumors that the phone will be launched on other carriers around June 20th. This would also be in line with rumors that the Samsung Galaxy S3 is headed to Canada on the same 20th June date. Releasing the Samsung Galaxy S3 worldwide simultaneously would be much welcomed after the Galaxy S2 fiasco where it only hit the US 5 months after most other countries. However we can see that is once again out of the question so a June 20th might ensure most fans won’t have to wait too long to get their hands on the Galaxy S3.
One of the questions everyone is asking is what changes will there be to the device offered by carriers in the US to those offered internationally. There have been rumors that the handset will not change drastically as Samsung may have laid down some restrictions preventing four of the largest carriers in the US to make major changes, as was evident in the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S3. For now all we can do is to wait and see and keep our ears open for the anticipated release dates, barring any hold ups of course.
While the Samsung Galaxy S3 was already released in the UK, there have been reports of a hold up due to problems with the battery door cover of the pebble blue version. Here’s hoping this issue is corrected before the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 release is announced.
