The Samsung Galaxy S3 will hit Europe by the end of this month and arrive over in the US this summer. Operating on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich complete with a TouchWiz UX interface and 4.8-inch Super AMOLED display at 1280×720 pixels, this is one of the most coveted of Android smartphones to come from Samsung to date.
Samsung Galaxy S3: 3 of its biggest selling points
Reputation: When considering a new phone one of the things people look at is it’s manufacturer’s track record. Samsung for one has some great models under their belt and the Galaxy brand name is now as popular as both the Android and iPhone names.
Power: The second most wanted aspects of any smartphone is power. This was true for the Samsung Galaxy S2 when it launched last year and once again, the Galaxy S3 hardware shows how Samsung has set the standard for what we can expect from smartphones in 2012.
Simplicity: Thirdly, the Samsung Galaxy S III has been designed for “people”, in other words it comes with features that make it easier for user’s to execute the most popular functions in an intuitive manner that is also very simple. For example the Smart Stay features which detects movements via the camera on the front and stops the handsets screen from turning off, as well as smart calling feature like automatically dialing a contact who just sent you a text if you go to hold up the Samsung Galaxy S3 next to your ear. S Voice is another aspect of the phone that people cannot wait to get their hands on. Not only will the phone sense when you have it in your hand, but users can control the handset with their voice (no button needed to first activate it). This includes turning up volume and even asking questions like with Siri on the iPhone 4S.
