Australia was not mentioned specifically as being one of the world tour venues of Samsung but according to the folks over at AndroidCentral, Sydney could play host to a Galaxy S3 event. The event will be held on May 31st 2012 and many are wondering if the event will reveal an announcement of the launch of the much anticipated Samsung Galaxy S3.
Official Samsung Galaxy S3 event in Australia on 31st May?
When the cities set to host the events were listed in a presentation in London recently, the closest destination to Australia was a location in South East Asia. However PC World in Australia has been sending out reports that Samsung Australia are indeed firing out their invitations for an event to be held in Sydney next Thursday. The official statement from Samsung however is more discreet and all they have clarified is that they are happy about the interest that continues for the Galaxy range of phones in Australia and have no plans on making any announcements for the moment.
Meanwhile Australians wait with baited breath as they are expecting to see the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S III on all of the major carriers in Australia and perhaps even on Virgin Mobile too. It is also rumored that Telstra is likely to be offering the 4G LTE version of the Samsung Galaxy S3 too.
On a side note, there is still no word on the US release date for the Samsung Galaxy S3. However Bluetooth SIG filings have already revealed the Galaxy S3 making its way to all 4 major US carriers.
