If you’ve had a peek at the HTC One Series then you’ll know just how Android 4.0 with Sense will look like on the next-generation of HTC phones. At the same time you will be salivating at the thought of getting it on your existing HTC Android smartphone.
Official HTC Android 4.0 update coming to Desire series as well
The good news is that HTC has gone ahead and released an official HTC Andorid 4.0 update list which details what existing Android smartphones will get the latest update. The good news is that devices as old as the HTC Desire S, Thunderbolt and Desire HD will be getting the update. Full list below:
March to June: HTC Amaze 4G, HTC EVO 4G+, HTC Sensation, HTC Sensation 4G, HTC Sensation XE, HTC Sensation XL, HTC Velocity 4G, HTC Vivid; June to July: HTC Desire S, HTC EVO 3D, HTC EVO Design 4G, HTC Incredible S, HTC Rezound, HTC Rhyme; and July to August: HTC Desire HD, HTC Thunderbolt
It is important to note that HTC devices with 512MB RAM or less won’t be getting the Android 4.0 ice Cream Sandwich update. This includes the HTC ChaCha, HTC Wildfire S, HTC Salsa, and HTC Explorer.
