Earlier last week, Samsung surprised Galaxy Note users by firing out the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Premium Suite update for the international GSM model. The first users to get the update were in Europe, with Samsung promising other regions to follow.

While folks over in Asia, Australia and elsewhere are expecting to get the Samsung Galaxy Note Android 4.0 update in the coming weeks as well, the same can’t be said about US and those who own the AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note.
The NFC capable Samsung Galaxy Note differs from the international version and its rollout schedule will depend as much on AT&T as it does Samsung. Given that it took over a year for the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update to reach the AT&T Samsung Captivate, as well as AT&T recently announcing that it will update the Samsung Captivate Glide, Note, S II, Skyrocket and Tab 8.9, but not giving any dates, we wouldn’t get our hopes up for a speedy rollout for the Galaxy Note.
Nevertheless, we suggest keeping your Kies Mini app updated as AT&T seldom allow for OTA updates. On a side note, none of the Samsung Galaxy S2 variants in the US have received their Android 4.0 updates yet either despite it being made available for the international model early last month. We’ll keep you posted as more develops.
