If you’re on Sprint and due for an upgrade then you might be contemplating between getting the Samsung Galaxy Nexus or the HTC EVO 4G LTE. However if you’re in no rush to upgrade just yet then we suggest hanging on for another month.
Upcoming Sprint phones: HTC EVO 4G LTE, Samsung Galaxy S3, iPhone 5
Earlier this month, Samsung went ahead and officially unveiled the Samsung Galaxy S3. At the time, Samsung Mobile US was quoted as saying that the US variants of the Galaxy S3 would release sometime this summer. Simultaneously, there is a lot of buzz behind the possible announcement of the iPhone 5 at WWDC 2012 next month (June 11th). Now both these devices will without a doubt be the highest selling smartphones on the market when they launch (yes, higher than the HTC EVO 4G LTE as well if they both make their way on to Sprint), so it might be wise to sit back just a few more weeks and see how close they are to landing on Sprint.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 as we know packs quite similar hardware to the HTC EVO 4G LTE but with a couple of advantages (slightly larger removable battery and screen). Simultaneously, iPhone 5 rumors peg it with LTE support (finally) and a larger Retina Display as well. As for hardware, there is no questioning whether the camera on it will be good, and from what we’ve seen from the New iPad 3, it will have a powerful GPU.
So if you’re looking to upgrade, don’t jump on the HTC EVO 4G LTE just yet. After all, you will likely be stuck with this smartphone for the next two years. We will be at WWDC 2012 in San Francisco next month so stay tuned for live coverage of Apple’s event.
