The Samsung Galaxy S3 was unveiled last week to mixed reactions. While the rumored quad-core Exynos processor, wireless charging and 4.8-inch Super AMOLED Plus Display. there were a couple of rumors that didn’t come to fruition. This includes the 2GB RAM and 12-megapixel shooter.
Samsung Galaxy S3 hardware and Nokia Lumia 900 styling meshed for S4 concept?
While the above two missed features could be done without (the Samsung Galaxy S3 may be able to operate well enough with 1GB RAM and its quad-core processor, while more megapixels doesn’t necessarily mean better picture quality), what could not be ignored was its design. A majority of the criticism against the Samsung Galaxy S3 had to do with its design and materials used. Samsung was speculated to go with a ceramic case but instead went with a hyperglazed plastic which in all honesty looks terrible in the blue model (the white model just passes). As for its overall form factor, many folks were hoping for something different, something that didn’t look like any existing Samsung phone. Unfortunately it looks quite similar to the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
On that note, the folks over at Concept-Phones.com have received a teaser preview of what has been dubbed the “biggest phone concept ever”. As CP hints, this may very well be a Samsung Galaxy S4 concept and the designer, Alexander Black, promises to unveil it on May 10th (two days from now).
In the teaser, the first thing we notice is that it seems to share many traits with the Nokia Lumia 900. Now if you’ve been following our coverage of the Nokia Lumia 900 then you will know that we’ve mentioned more than once how it is one of the few (if possibly only) smartphone readily available on the market right now that we find looks more beautiful than the iPhone 4S. If Black couples the hardware we found in the Samsung Galaxy S3 with the exterior design of the Nokia Lumia 900, we’re going to get a hell of a concept to feast our eyes on later this week.
We’ll post the pictures up the moment they are released! Until then enjoy the teaser preview below.
