The Samsung Galaxy S3 is without a doubt the most anticipated Android smartphone of 2012 and with the recent announcement from Samsung that they would be unveiling it on May 3rd, hype behind the device has reached a new level.
Samsung Galaxy S3 release date set for after late June only?
However what many of us are forgetting is that the Samsung Galaxy S3 may only be unveiled in May. As for when it hits stores, that is still open to speculation. And that’s where the Meizu MX quad-core smartphone comes in.
Now if you’re not sure what the Meizu MX Quad-core is, it claims to be the world’s first to sport the new Exynos 4412 processor by Samsung. That just happens to be the same processor that is expected to make its way into the Samsung Galaxy S3. However here is the kicker, the Meizu MX Quad-Core will only arrive in stores in June.
As the folks over at DroidLife point out, “If this Meizu MX phone is going to be the “first” with this processor” and it only arrives in June, then the Samsung Galaxy S3 may not be released until late June or July with the 4412 inside.
We can only hope for two things: One, Meizu is lying…. or two, the Samsung Galaxy S3 will get another processor that has managed to stay under wraps until now.
