The Nokia Lumia 900 popped on to AT&T with a ridiculously low $99 price tag. Now this is well below the $200 price tag of the 16GB iPhone 4S yet packs a serious punch.
iPhone 4S vs Nokia Lumia 900
Both the iPhone 4S and Nokia Lumia 900 are without a doubt one of the most aesthetically pleasing looking smartphones on the market. The iPhone 4S with its glass and aluminum finishing while the Nokia Lumia 900 boasts a unibody design that feels good in your hand. Despite its mid-range phone price tag, the Nokia Lumia 900 boasts 4G LTE connectivity which even the iPhone 4S doesn’t offer. If you’ve used LTE speeds before, you’ll now just how difficult it is to go back to 3G. However this point is moot unless you live in an area with AT&T LTE coverage.
Next up is the display. The Nokia Lumia 900 boasts a large 4.3-inch display which has superb contrasts and blacks versus that of the 3.5-inch iPhone 4S. However in terms of resolution, the Retina Display on the iPhone 4S outdoes the 480×800 pixels of the Nokia Lumia.
To round it off, we get to the cameras. Both the Nokia Lumia 900 and iPhone 4S boast 8-megapixel rear shooters. Now the iPhone 4S is up there with the top 3 camera phones on the market, so the Nokia Lumia 900 really has to prove itself. Unfortunately it doesn’t. Despite the Carl Zeiss lens, the Nokia has a hard time with color accuracy despite the shots being sharp.
Nokia Lumia 900 sexier but iPhone 4S still the winner
Bottom line: The Nokia Lumia 900 is a winner in our books in terms of design and arguably looks more sexier than the iPhone 4S both in terms exterior form factor (all colors including black) and also the stunning Metroi UI. Unfortunately, its smaller selection of apps and disappointing camera will still leave the iPhone 4S as the better seller.
