When it comes to Android smartphones, it is very rare that you can buy the best smartphone on the market and still feel the same after a couple of months. With the rapid release of high-end Android smartphones on the market, along with rumors popping up on a daily basis as to what new devices we can expect in the weeks to come, choosing an Android smartphone to tie up with for the life of your contract is no easy feat.
HTC One X: the most powerful ‘announced’ Android on the market
Nevertheless, if you’re looking to buy an Android smartphone right now, you can’t go wrong with the HTC One X. It boasts a 4.7-inch Gorilla Glass 720p HD LCD screen, 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, and an 8-megapixel camera with 1080p video recording that features five levels of LED flash, automatic focus, BSI sensor for better low-light captures, simultaneous HD video and image recording, face and smile detection. If it has a downfall, it would be that it doesn’t offer an expanded memory slot. That aside, it is the most powerful Android smartphone on the market right now which you can buy (if you are in the US you will have to wait a while though).
Most powerful Android smartphone rumored: Samsung Galaxy S3
Moving away from what is the most powerful available smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S3 comes to mind. If rumors serve true, it will boast a 12-megapixel rear camera, 1.8GHz quad-core Exynos processor, 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED III screen, NFC, and a whopping 2GB RAM with 32GB internal storage. This does put it ahead of the HTC One X but given that all the money in the world can’t get you one right now, the HTC One X is clear choice.
On a side note, if you’re not after the most powerful Android announced on the market but still want a flagship device, the Samsung Galaxy S2, Galaxy Note and Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX are good options.
