We’ve been dabbling with reports for weeks now about a device called the HTC DROID Incredible 4G and DROID Incredible 3. Now we can put the latter name to rest as the folks over at AndroidCentral have gotten a hold of a Verizon internal screen confirming the name of the device.
Verizon HTC DROID Incredible 4G name confirmed, other details still vague
The leaked screenshot you see below shows the “HTC DROID Incredible 4G ARD6410” making its way into the MAP system. Now if you’re new to this, MAP stands for ‘minimum advertised price’ and gives shops a way to gauge what the price of this Android smartphone should be around. Of course, in the end they can sell it at whatever price they want but knowing how much it is worth will give them a better idea where it should stand among the other Android smartphones in their inventory.
The screenshot unfortunately doesn’t give up much more information than that so it still seems like that huge 4.3-inch white smartphone that was circulating the web will likely be the DROID Incredible 4G. Rumored specs suggest it will be equipped with a 720p display, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, New Sense 4.0 and a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor (LTE capable).
We’ll keep you posted as more develops. Have a good weekend folks!
