With the latest rumors pegging the Sprint Samsung Galaxy Nexus release date as April 15, we will soon find the floodgates opened to many more LTE devices to run on Sprint’s growing 4G LTE network.
HTC Jet likely to follow Sprint Samsung Galaxy Nexus
To date, there are speculations that the Sprint iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S3 variant will have LTE capabilities but now there is one more smartphone to add to the list – the HTC Jet.
The folks over at S4GRU found details of the HTC Jet LTE smartphone in the same leaked Sprint internal document that suggested the April 15 release date for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. According to the source, the S4GRU will likely share similar specs with the HTC One X i.e. 1.5 GHz dual core “Krait” (28 nm) CPU, 1GB RAM, CDMA1X, EV-DO Rev 0/A/B, LTE (UE category 3), LTE band class 25 (PCS A-G blocks), Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, 4.7-inch S-LCD 1280×720 screen, Corning Gorilla Glass 2, and a solid polycarbonate body.
While we do love the name HTC Jet for a LTE smartphone, HTC appears to have changed their naming pattern for 2012 and this smartphone will likely take join the HTC One series and take a randomly assigned alphabet in the end. The Sprint HTC Jet release date has been hinted as June 10th. We’ll keep you posted as more develops.
