The Samsung Galaxy S3 is arguably the most hyped up smartphone of 2012, right up there with the Apple iPhone 5. Now as its official announcement purportedly approaches, the folks over at PhoneArena have just put up a high-resolution render of what they claim is the Samsung Galaxy S3.
Samsung Galaxy S3 pictures leaked
Now before we jump to any conclusions, it is important to note that this could be a clever fake like that render of the Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich from a couple of months ago. Nevertheless, we’ll bite for now.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 render looks almost identical to the Galaxy S2 however the latest rumors suggest that it would feature a ceramic body like we see on Rado watches. Given that this render shows us a glossy black finish, it could very well be it. Next comes the display which is supposed to be a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED Plus. It certainly does look a little taller than the Galaxy S2 so here is another match.
Other rumors include Android 4.x Ice Cream Sandwich (check), quad-core 1.5-1.8 GHz Exynos 4412 processor (can’t be seen), 12-megapixel rear camera and HD front camera (megapixels can’t be confirmed), and measures in at just 7 millimeters thick (plausible).
PhoneArena claims that the Samsung Galaxy S3 is now set to debut in June, which happens to line up with the Olympics where Samsung was previously rumored to run a huge ad campaign for its flagship smartphone.
We’ll keep you posted as more develops.
