Temple Run is finally available for download on the Android Market after months of fake apps pretending to be the popular game. Unfortunately, it is employing Airpush which is arguably one of the most obtrusive 3rd party mobile ad option on Android devices at the moment.
Official Temple Run for Android Market now available
Another issue has to do with the deep Facebook integration. You have no choice but to post to Facebook (you can’t opt out of this).
The game was a great success on the iPhone and we couldn’t wait for it to land on the Android Market so this comes as a big disappointment to fans. Here’s hoping Temple Run fires out an update in the near future to address some of these gripes.
About TempleRun for Android: “Test your reflexes as you race down ancient temple walls and along sheer cliffs. Swipe to turn, jump and slide to avoid obstacles, collect coins and buy power ups, and see how far you can run!”
UPDATE: The “official” Temple Run app was taken off the Android Market a couple of minutes ago as it turned out to be a fake. Now this is by far the most convincing fake we’ve seen to date and we still can’t wrap our minds around exactly how this game managed to get a whopping 13,000 reviews already, mostly 5 stars. Disgusting. Thanks for pointing out that it was a fake folks, we have taken down the link.
