EA are going to make a sequel to Titanfall it has been said. The news comes from a source who said that the option to land Titanfall was down to the performance of the original.
Respawn have not revealed the sales figures for the games launch, however it is looking as though Titanfall is selling well, the game has even managed to boost up the sales of the Xbox One in the UK by around 96%. Chart-Track, the entertainment sales monitoring company said that 70% of Xbox sales in the UK were Titanfall bundles which came with the game and the console for around £399.
“We do not comment on rumor or speculation. Right now all our focus is on supporting all the fans worldwide enjoying ‘Titanfall,’” an EA representative told GameSpot regarding the “Titanfall 2” rumor.
A source told Polygon that Titanfall will not be exclusive to Microsoft and this news may mean that it could be playable on the PS4 too.
