Super Smash Bros For 3DS & Wii U: Release Date Tipped For Pre-Holidays

Today we have news for those who have been waiting to hear about Super Smash Bros for the Wii U. A screenshot was posted last week and now it looks like Final Smashes will be coming back to the game. While there hasn’t yet been confirmation about this, this is the biggest news relating to Smash Brothers that fans have heard in a while. Everything is quiet about the game at the moment but things could chance at the E3 this year. Nintendo could reveal the secrets and they could offer the release date for Smash Bros.

We haven’t heard a lot of news about Super Smash Bros Wii U or Super Smash Bros 3DS. Nintendo has been devoting time in the earlier part of the year to Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Bravely Default, both of these arrived in February. Their attention was then turned to Yoshi’s New Island, which came out to uneven reviews. Next we expect to see Mario Kart Wii U, which should make its arrival in late May, this will be one of the two biggest releases of the year for Nintendo, with Smash Bros of course.

There is some worry over the 3DS version of the game, which could turn out to be a huge mistake. However it seems that silence about the game could mean that the development is going as planned. All of the reveals are being put on hold until later on this year.

We don’t know when the release date for Super Smash Bros will be and some people had hoped that it would be around June to July. However this isn’t likely and even if the game was ready, Nintendo wouldn’t launch it is the summer. This is going to be one of their biggest releases, apart from Super Mario 3D World, until we hear about Zelda for the Wii U. Nintendo will not want to waste it by releasing it in the summer. More than likely they will launch it in time for the Christmas holidays, possibly just before Thanksgiving.
