Resident Evil used to top the charts at one time but now it is falling down. The series has turned into somewhat of a joke and its was a long time when the first game in the series made an appearance. Players enjoyed Resident Evil thanks to the horror/survival gameplay.
This was something that made its way out by the time Resident Evil 4 came out. The series did have a huge fan base up to this time, however from Resident Evil 2 things started turning around for the worse.
Fans complained that Resident Evil had lost the horror touch and instead was more of a fast paced action game. While newcomers to the game liked it, existing fans didn’t.
When Resident Evil 6 arrives fans have become tired of the action gameplay and they longed for the return of the game back to its roots. Whether Capcom have listened is anyone’s guess and we will only find out when Resident Evil 7 is released.
So at the moment the franchise does seem to be dying out and Reddit fans hope that the series can be revived with Resident Evil 7. One Redditor, LightSamus has created a logo for Resident Evil 7 and this does give the game that horror touch.
He designed a logo for Resident Evil 7 that is a red blood colour and dark, this gives off negative energy which does help to set the mood.
We hope that Capcom see the logo and take it into consideration as fans do want that horror feel back in the game. However only they can decide on the fate of Resident Evil, so for now fans will have to sit back and wait. Check out the logo here.
