Resident Evil 7 Expectations Set Painfully Low?

When Resident Evil 6 came out fans felt as though Capcom had let them down as they didn’t want the adventure/action game that it had become. The franchise had been heading this way ever since Resident Evil 4 came out and it lost the horror aspect. Capcom have been working on Resident Evil 7 and if they want it to be a success then they will have to bring back the horror element.

Fans would like Resident Evil 7 to have music that is suspenseful and creepy and which leads to a sense of urgency in the game. They want enemies to break doors down and they want the safe room to come back into the game. Gamers also pointed out that they would like the merchant back into the game.

What they don’t want is a partner, expect for if the main character had to protect that partner. Capcom really have to listen to what the fans want, otherwise Resident Evil 7 isn’t going to sell.
