Once upon a time Resident Evil was at the top of the charts but it doesn’t look as though there will be a happy ending for the franchise, unless the developers take the game back to the same genre it started off with. Gamers want to see the horror brought back to the game.
Resident Evil 4 changed the way the franchise has been heading and up to this time the following was huge. Resident Evil 1 and 2 were full of horror/survival but then things started to change after this.
Now gamers have said that Resident Evil has moved away for the horror feel and taken on more of an adventure game. Those playing the franchise for the first time may like this but die-hard fans that have played from the start don’t.
Gamers are hoping that Resident Evil 7 will have gone back in time to the roots of the game. Recently a Redditor with the name of LightSamus designed a version of the logo for Resident Evil 7 and it shows how much fans want the horror back in the game.
The logo is dark and has a mysterious look with a red blood colour, which does portray how fans want to see the game.
Let’s just hope that Capcom have been listening to what fans want. Fans around the world will have their fingers crossed until Resident Evil 7 comes out. Head over to here to check out the logo.
