In a recent update Shuhei Yoshida of Sony did say that they knew about issues some of the owners of pre-release PS4s had seen.
He said “Be assured we are investigating reported PS4 issues.”
It is thought that the amount of consoles suffering issues is small in relation to the amount that has been shipped.
It was originally reported that some users were seeing issues with the PS4 and this was related to the HDMI port.
IGN had seen issues with the PS4 not connecting to output through HDMI. Some owners who won their PS4 through a promotion that Taco Bell had also told NeoGAF that they had experienced issues too.
Meanwhile Kotaku said they had a PS4 and this was faulty and they too blamed it on the faulty HDMI port.
So it is looking as though the same issue has been plaguing users.
We have also heard some disturbing news about the operating system of the PS4 bricking consoles.
Bear in mind that it is not unusual for there to be faults with consoles upon launch of them and so this may be something similar.
However it is sure a worry for the millions of people who are waiting to get their hands on the console when it launches. Are you worried?
