Last night was a period full of excitement for the US Pokemon community. The fans witnessed Pokemon.com going offline together with many other online features found in Pokemon X & Y. It created a strong belief that Nintendo was releasing the Pokebank.
However, those eager faces on the fans soon turned sour. It appears to be nothing more than a network maintenance. The much anticipated Pokemon Bank failed to make a surprise entry and the fans were utterly disappointed with it. As of today, Pokemon.com is now up and running.
It is unknown to what was the maintenance about. The Wonder Trade is working fine and so as all the online functions. Nintendo revealed on their website that it was meant to fix Pokemon X & Y synchronize for the Pokemon Global Link. It is similar to the last three maintenance procedures.
The fans continue to fume over the fact that it took Nintendo that much maintenance to fix the same thing. It simply doesn’t add up. Fans are beginning to give up hope on the Pokebank.
While the reason for the online services to go down is unknown, it could be that Nintendo is testing the North American servers to prepare it for the Pokebank. It will take a little while to prepare the settings prior to the Pokebank’s release.
