Fans of Pokemon X & Y have been frustrated by the lack of Pokebank. The app arrived as scheduled but gamers crashed the servers trying to get it so it was taken down. Now it seems that once again there is frustration as some gamers with the Pokebank have been talking on Reddit about how some Pokemon cannot be transported. One gamer said that they could not transfer any of them, even those from the Ruby/Sapphire carts.
It seems that some Pokemon don’t pass the GTA and B2W2 checks and so the Pokemon cannot be sent to Pokecheck. Gamers are upset as these are legit Pokemon from legit cartridges. Quite a few gamers have been suffering the same issue. However it appears that there is a way around this.
A Redditor said that they got around this issue by doing the following.
First they traded them to a flashcart version of Black 2 and then loaded the save file into Pokegen and ripped the .pkm files and uploaded them to Pokecheck.
The user said that all three of the Pokemon had over 510 evs, but he didn’t know why. He said that all of them had one thing in common and this was that they had contest ribbons. They then changed the evs back and they then transferred over to the game and could be sent to the Pokebank without any issue.
Another user suggested using pokecheck.org to find out what is wrong with the Pokemon and then adjust the values in Pokegen so that they remain legal.
