NBA 2K14 was one of the most anticipated games prior to its release. With a trailer that brags its brilliant graphics built for the next-gen, everything looks like nothing could go wrong.
It was during the festive period last year when a huge issue affected the game and all its players. NBA 2K14 suffered a server crash resulting in MyCareer being unplayable. This angered the huge fan base as it was during a weekend in the festive period.
What worsens the whole situation is when game developer 2K sluggishly announced their acknowledgement on this issue. It wasn’t long later when the company released a huge-sized patch which does nothing to fix the problem. Fans are not at all happy with the service they are getting from a huge brand like 2K.
While attempting to tackle the issue, 2K gave out free VC points to the players in a bid to win back their trust. However, the damage has been done and players don’t feel like they can be bought with VC points.
It is already 2014 now and a month since the crashing of the servers. Amidst the silence, 2K are “hard at work” in search for a solution. Many wondered if that is even true. It was only a day after New Year when Ronnie2K tweeted that they are close to solving the issue.
Fans are again discontent with the kind of quality service they’re receiving. Some fans have gone on a rampage badmouthing 2K, wasting the gamer’s money to get sucky service.
Prolonging the issue will only add more salt to the wound. Heck, it will be like blowing up an oil tanker. It won’t do good for both the company and fans.
