Mass Effect 4 Development Scheduling Points To Xbox One & PS4 Launch

The upcoming Mass Effect 4 will be the first Mass Effect title to debut on both the Xbox One and PS4. This highly anticipated game is currently in development and Bioware have been rather secretive on its progress and content.

However, the game developer did let out a major piece of information regarding Mass Effect 4 and it is that the game won’t feature Commander Shepard at all. The protagonist from the first trilogy has been retired from the franchise. As such, Mass Effect 4 will be a fresh new start to a brand new storyline in the same Mass Effect universe.

The game’s producer, Yanick Roy, recently revealed that the developers are against rushing the game as they want to do it right. This was followed up by the general manager, Aaryn Flynn, who can’t wait to bring the fans back into the Mass Effect universe. After all, it has been two years since Mass Effect 3 got released. Both statements are made on their respective Twitter accounts.

The Tweets certainly killed all hopes for Mass Effect 4 to debut this year. If the game is to arrive next year, it will surely be for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC only. After all, the game is tipped to be huge and there is no way the Xbox 360 and PS3 can support that.
