The Left 4 Dead series have been a major success. Fans of the franchise have thoroughly enjoyed playing both L4D and L4D2 with their friends as they tried to survive the waves and waves of zombie attack.
At has been quite some time since L4D2 got released and perhaps it is time for L4D3 to be in development. The question now is who will be the developer? According to TotalXbox, Turtle Rock won’t be taking charge of L4D3.
The first two titles were developed by Turtle Rock and there are many signs which suggest that the game developer won’t be doing the third sequel. Turtle Rock is currently too attached with Evolve, a new game that is much like L4D.
In addition to that, Turtle Rock has parted ways with Valve. The latter played an important part in the development of L4D. Without them, the franchise wouldn’t exist. Now, it seems that Turtle Rock is looking to establish their own brand and line-ups of games.
The game developer would want to put aside L4D and focus on new directions. After all, Turtle Rock is now an independent company. As for L4D3, it is unknown on who will take charge. Following the leak of Valve’s database, there is a strong chance that the creators of Half Life will personally take care of it.
