If there is one thing that will never die, it is a fan’s love for a video game. The Half Life community in particular has been rather faithful with Valve in anticipating a third sequel to the Half Life franchise. It is a wonder on how the Half Life folks were able to withstand 10 years of wait.
Across the decade, many leaks and rumours have surfaced but none of the materialized. Today, a new leak has become the buzz around the web and it seems that the wait for Half Life 3 will soon be over.
The leak is in the form of an image which shows a screenshot of Source 2’s folder. This new and improved game engine from Valve got its directory sneaked into and there is a list found of upcoming games being developed with the Source 2.
There, one can spot Left 4 Dead 3 and HL3 folders which hints that both games are currently in development.
Despite this leak, Valve is still silent on the matter and has yet to give any form of hints or even an official announcement regarding Half Life 3. As such, fans will have to continue waiting for the game, at least until Gabe Newell start answering in the promised Ask Me Anything session on Reddit.
