The A Team from the 2010 action film has found its way into GTA 5. A recent GIF got uploaded on Reddit suggesting the possibility of re-enacting that tank falling from the sky scene. No you are not dreaming. There is a way to get your tank airborne.
Here is how you can take your tank for a skydiving experience. Remember the car sling glitch? Redditor RedDaggerx revealed that doing it with a tank will sent you thrown to random locations. There is some procedures to follow in order to give your tank same altitude.
Instead of driving directly to the middle of the gate, align your tank to the far edge of one-side of the gate. Leave as little gap as possible. Take note that it must be that push-able hinged two-door gate for it to work. Once you’re at one side of the gate, move back and forth while trying to stuff the barrel on the same line with the gate.
There is no easy way of saying this. To paint a clearer picture, do not spear the gate with your barrel. The gates are attached to the sides so try to force your barrel to that same sides as well. If done correctly, the glitch will activate sending your tank sky-high.
It is so high up in the sky that it takes about a minute before you reach sea level. Best part is, the tank won’t be destroyed. While freefalling, you can exit the tank and activate your parachute. Next time I try it, I will maneuver the tank while on air, just like how it was done in A Team.
