The guy behind the hit game Flappy Birds, Doug Nguyen, has taken to Twitter and said that the game is going to be making a return, however it won’t happen soon. Fans of the game will be happy to hear this of course as they don’t have to rely on any of the alternatives to get their game fix.
Flappy Bird shot to the top of the gaming charts on Google Play and iTunes but then Doug took them game down in February. While he didn’t provide a lot of details about why he took the game down, he Tweeted that he couldn’t take anymore. He said that taking the game down wasn’t down to legal issues.
Nguyen spoke to Rolling Stone earlier on in the month and he said that if he brings the game back he will state a warning for gamers to take a break from the game. He also told Forbes that he thought the game was too addictive and that some gamers had suffered from this.
So Flappy Bird may not be making a return anytime in the near future, however it could be that he has now become a PR genius and is hyping the game. Originally when the game came out it was making around $50,000 a day in revenue.
