Every four years, the World Cup footballing event takes place and with it comes the official FIFA World Cup video game. 2014 will not be a different story as FIFA World Cup is nearing its release and will be the second full-priced FIFA title coming in the pace of 6 months.
EA will roll out this upcoming footballing title come April and there is a lot of controversies behind it. It is unsure if the FIFA community realized this but every FIFA title released annually are often tweaked in the sort of ‘beat around the bush’ manner. Those fans who are not blinded to this fact are probably wondering how FIFA World Cup is going to be a value-for-money gaming title. After all, it might just be the same FIFA 14 and tweaked to compliment this mega-event.
However, Matt Prior denies this. The FIFA World Cup Brazil producer revealed that this upcoming game started development 16-18 months ago and is developed by a totally different team to that on the FIFA 14. As such, the FIFA World Cup Brazil game is expected to offer a whole new footballing experience to the players with plenty of new features and game modes.
The question then arises to how it would be different from FIFA 14. Matt explained that FIFA World Cup Brazil will put players in a challenging scenario where they have to qualify and win the cup. In addition to that, there are Story/Highlight modes which give players the opportunity to replay major happenings like the hat-trick scored by the poster-boy, Neymar. Matt also claims that some football video gamers only purchases a World Cup game instead of the annual FIFA titles.
Nevertheless, it is unsure on how much difference it would be to the original FIFA game. Take away the ambience and less than impressive new features, it is basically the same FIFA game all over again. However, it is best to wait for the release and not rush into purchasing it. Instead, do your own research and find out if the game is worth your money. After all, FIFA World Cup Brazil is a full priced FIFA title.
