Pokemon fans that have a strong passion for football are in for some great news. It is 2014 this year and that means the World Cup season is making yet another return this summer.
Many countries are registering their team with the sport’s body, FIFA. To the surprise of the world, both Nintendo and Adidas have agreed to make Pokemon as their mascots. The Japanese national team will be supported by the super-popular Pikachu.
The Japanese team will be flying to Rio, Brazil, soon. On the same plane, there will also be other Pokemon mascots which include Charmander, Squirtle and Bulbasaur.
This year’s World Cup will definitely be an electrifying moment and it is hard to imagine on how Brazil will react to seeing Pokemon on their streets.
