Not too long back a hoax website made an appearance from someone with the name of Survivor2299 in relation to Fallout 4 and it managed to fool many people into thinking that it was related to the game. Now it looks as though the hoax is happening again and this time it is related to the Dishonoured franchise.
Bethesda has refused to talk about the game and fans of the franchise are clinging onto each small piece of information that they can and want to believe that it must be true.
While Dishonoured 2 hasn’t been announced by the developers just yet a fan said that they got an email with the logo of Dishonoured 2 on it, along with a hashtag and a link.
The email has now gone viral, with the particulars of the sender being erased, so this has led to some people believing that there is something strange going on. The text of the email says “Witness the full reveal at E3 2014.” In addition to that, the hashtag reads “#DarknessOfTyvia”.
The email also looks to be laid out very nice, which does make it look like the real deal. However you do have to take it with a pinch of salt when you look back and see what happened with the Fallout community and the hoax website.
Bethesda has not spoken up about the email and the last time something along the same lines happened they warned people that they shouldn’t believe everything they read.
