Since mid-last year, the gaming industry has been bombarded with countless rumours, speculations as well as hoaxes regarding Fallout 4. This upcoming fourth sequel to the Fallout franchise is certainly one of the most anticipated titles around.
Regardless of the status of Fallout 4, there are some things that the game developer must consider to avoid making Fallout 4 a disappointing title.
For a start, the game needs more unique weapons. The arsenal in Fallout is somehow limited. Fallout needs to add in a whole lot more tools of killing to make the game much better. In fact, making the weapons more customizable would definitely be a plus point.
Another key feature that should be in Fallout 4 is the ability to sprint. The land mass in Fallout is quite huge so the same is expected from the fourth edition. The worse part throughout the trilogy is there is no sprinting function just a slow run. Omitting fast travel is understandable but to neglect sprinting can cause much pain to the players.
Also, the battles in Fallout 4 should be on a larger scale. It was pretty small in Fallout 3 and New Vegas and this upcoming fourth instalment should change that. After all, Fallout 4 is expected to run on a brand new and improved game engine.
All in all, these are the few pointers Bethesda have to look out for. As of this moment, nothing official is announced yet. It has been 4 years since New Vegas got released and perhaps it is time to start developing Fallout 4.
