Late last year, we saw the entire Fallout community getting fooled by a hoax website, Survivor2299. The Fallout fans were clearly upset upon learning that they’ve believed lies about Fallout 4. It was also partly Bethesda’s fault for not announcing anything to protect the fans.
Now, this tragedy looks to repeat itself on yet another game coming from Bethesda, Dishonoured 2. This next sequel to the highly successful RPG game has yet to be announced by the game developer but fans are already receiving emails which contain Dishonoured 2’s logo, a hashtag link and date.
The email was captured and shared across the web which created a stir. This is due to the fact that the sender’s name has been removed giving fans no idea on whether it is the real deal or a hoax. The statement on the email suggests that Dishonoured 2 will be unveiled in E3 this year. As for the hashtag, it reads “Darkness of Tyvia”.
There is no denying that the email seemed like the real deal. After learning on Fallout 4’s fate late last year, fans of Dishonoured 2 are much more careful on this one.
At the moment, the email is being taken with a pinch of salt. As for Bethesda, they have yet to address the fans and reveal if the email is an official one or a hoax. However, the game developer once warned that anything not officially announced by them are to be taken as a hoax.
