We have heard lots of talk on Reddit about the fact that some gamers would like to see the red designation taken away from Fallout 4.
One person on Reddit said that gamers should be offered the option of being able to turn off the red designation so that they didn’t know who the enemy was and who wasn’t, just by looking at them from a distance. They said that this would ensure that gamers got better rewards and could get punishment too.
One Redditor gave an example of trekking across open wasteland and seeing a group of Legion at some distance. The player could just get their gun and then go ahead and shoot them. However they could have been innocent deserters, but of course the gamer would not know this unless he had gone closer and talked to them.
At the moment it is easy to tell who the enemy is at a distance and this distracts from the game. If the gamer didn’t know who the enemy was it would make the game more fun and interesting. This of course should be just an option.
Other gamers over on Reddit liked the idea and they talked about how it could work. They said that perhaps the barter system could be brought back and the NPCs could have names. If they had names it would be more lifelike and perhaps people would think twice about shooting them.
