Dean Hall the creative lead of DayZ has shown off a video blog of some of the features which are said to be coming to the game. The lighting can be adjusted and flashlights can now be used in the daytime. There the physics system is almost complete, this will allow gamers to throw items to a friend and hurt enemies. The physics system is said to bring better animations and ragdoll bodies.
In the video containers, cooking, hunting and makeshift bows were shown off. Dean is shown killing a pig and then he picks up some pork cuts.
Also addressed in the video was questions about optimisation to reduce the amount of desync along with re-spawning of zombies. Persistent objects which include paper, wood and backpacks are said to be in active testing.
The experimental batch 0.37.115791 is available on Steam and can now be downloaded. Gamers need to go into the Steam settings and enable the Experimental branch, which is found under the betas. This patch offers the option to capture rain in a bottle brings some new two handed melees animations and updates to the map. Along with this a WIP town has been found too.
