It was only a week ago that we saw Kia release the first picture of its upcoming Cee’d hatchback before its deubt at the Geneva Auto Show. The image showed us the front three-quarter angle the compact pocket rocket, detailing its round corners, new nose and the now famous Schreyer grille. Now, a new image has surfaced showcasing for the first time its side and rear three-quarter profile.
2012 Kia Cee’d side and rear quarter pictures appear
Now if you’re late to the party and are not clear on what the Kia Cee’d is, let us recap. Set to take on the likes of the Volkswagen Golf, Ford Focus and Vauxhall Astra, the Cee’d utilizes the same platform as the Hyundai i30. Kia adds that their hatchback welds sporty styling with adequate space and functionality, all in a five-door hatch body.
Unfortunately without actual pictures of the interior, we will just have to believe Kia’s statement of it having a “driver oriented dashboard and refined interior, with a strong focus on quality of materials.”
Just like other new Kia models to launch in Europe, the Kia Cee’d boasts a 7 year warranty. It is expected to go on sale in the second quarter of 2012.
