Last year, we compared the Xiaomi Mi 3 with the iPhone 5S and it came pretty close to beating the world’s most popular smartphone. Now, Xiaomi has released the all-new Mi 4 and we have decided to see if it can send the iPhone 5S back into the abyss.
Putting both devices side-by-side, we notice that the Mi 4 is the larger smartphone. It has a 5” 1080p screen that is sharper than the 4” retina display on the iPhone 5S. In detail, the former offers 441ppi while the latter runs at 326ppi.
Under the casing, the Mi 4 swift past the iPhone 5S with its 2.5GHz Snapdragon 800 processor with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. The iPhone 5S in our hands is powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core Apple A7 Cyclone processor with 2GB of RAM and 16/32GB internal memory option.
Even on cameras, the Mi 4 has a 13MP rear shooter and an 8MP front snapper. Both cameras are simply more powerful than the 8MP rear camera and 1.5MP front shooter on the iPhone 5S.
Obviously, the Mi 4 is something too powerful for the iPhone 5S to comprehend. However, it runs on the stock Android 4.4.2 KitKat which is not as smooth as the iOS 7 running on the iPhone 5S.
