The Samsung Galaxy S5 is currently the best smartphone to come from South Korea. Similarly, the Xiaomi Mi 3is regarded as the best smartphone to come from China. However, will the new name stand a chance against the established Samsung Galaxy S5?
Both devices are about the same size but it is the S5 that is slightly larger. The smartphone has a 5.1” screen that runs at 432ppi. The Mi 3, on the other hand, has a 5” screen but it is able to run at 441ppi.
Also, the S5 is equipped with a 2800mAh battery but it can’t last as long as the 3050mAh battery that is equipped on the Mi 3.
Under the casing, the smartphone from China is powered by a 2.3GHz 4-core Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB RAM and Adreno 330 GPU. The S5 is slightly faster on this field as it has a more updated processor. In detail, the latter runs on a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 processor with Adreno 330GPU and 2GB RAM.
Even on cameras, the 16MP rear and the 2.1MP front shooters on the S5 is so much better than the 13MP rear and the 2MP front shooters on the Mi 3.
The killer blow is with the S5’s tons of features which include water resistant, dust resistant and microSD support of up to 128GB. The Mi 3 is only offered with 16GB of internal storage.
By far, the S5 is more powerful than the Mi 3 from Xiaomi. Then again, it is positive to see that China-grown products are beginning to make a name in the global market.
