Volkswagen is ready to reveal the new generation of the Volkswagen Tiguan R at the Frankfurt Auto Show. But, rumour has it that it will have the same style as the Range Rover Evoque SUV. Is that true?
As a fact, Volkswagen Tiguan R comes with a long-wheel base and can fit up to seven passengers. This is the standard version in USA and the car will be built in Mexico next year, and will set its way to the showrooms as a 2018 model. News also says that there could be a Volkswagen Tiguan R coupe coming on its way. It is going to be a high performance car and may have a powertrain that will be along the lines with Volkswagen Golf R.
Volkswagen Tiguan R may come with a 2.0-liter four cylinder engine with 300 horsepower. It is also expected to welcome changes to the sports suspension and chassis to be added along with selection for choosing dynamic features. Range Rover Evoque SUV has a redesigned front bumper with a new grille, wider tow-eye cover and slim LED fog lights. The SUV comes in two transmissions, a nine-speed automatic and a six-speed manual.
Volkswagen Tiguan R is estimated to make its way out in the market by 2017, and the Volkswagen R variation of it to be out a year after, if everything goes well.
