We know that Volkswagen are getting ready to launch the Volkswagen Tiguan R and they did this at the Frankfurt Auto Show and it is thought that perhaps it may have the styling of the Range Rover Evoque.
When the Volkswagen Tiguan R does come our way it is going to offer the long wheel-base and when it comes onto the market it is going to offer 7 seats. It will be the standard version arriving in the US and it is going to be produced in Mexico starting from 2017. This means that we should see it arrive in the showroom and be a 2018 model.
At the same time we have heard that we could be about to see a Volkswagen Tiguan R coupe and as you might expect the profile of this is that of a coupe. Along with this they are considering a high performance vehicle with an engine of that of the Golf R. if so this may be a 2.0 litre with the 4 cylinders which could offer up 300 horses. The chassis along with the suspension may also be getting updated and owners will have a selector by which they can choose the dynamic features.
If things go to plan we should get to see the Volkswagen Tiguan R arrive on the market in some point in 2017 and then perhaps we will see the R variation of it arriving in 2018.
