Volkswagen has certainly put their stage time at the Geneva Motor Show to good use when the unveiled a number of great vehicles. Among them is the Sport GTE Coupe concept which deserves more attention as it takes VW’s styling to a whole new level.
As pictured above, the concept features more sharp creases and bold graphics. To complete the package, the Sport GTE Coupe Concept sits on large wheels and it is classified as a 4-door coupe.
Well, Volkswagen has got every part right except for the fact that the concept is actually not meant to be called a coupe. After all, coupes don’t come with tandem side-doors.
While still being a preview, VW claims that the Sport GTE Coupe Concept will be running on a hybrid powertrain. The front-wheels are powered by a 3L V6 engine while the rear wheels are managed by a pair of electric motors.
Of course, nobody knows exactly on which line of vehicles will be based on the Sport GTE Coupe Concept. Even so, we assume that the study will be the base model for future VW CC.
