Whenever a product is produced as a limited edition item, it often comes with a hefty price tag. Well, this ruling does not apply to the latest VW e-Golf Limited Edition as it came out with a selling price of $33,450.
Of course, there is a catch and in the e-Golf’s case, it does not come with the aluminium wheels like those in the SEL Premium trim. Instead, the limited edition model comes with a standard 16” wheels.
Aside from that, the e-Golf Limited Edition also comes with halogen headlights that replace the LED headlamps. In addition to that, the leathers have been removed and are replaced with cloth. To complete the package, the e-Golf Limited Edition does not feature the heat-pump system.
With the aforementioned changes applied, the e-Golf Limited Edition now cost $2000 cheaper. The EV hatchback is definitely a perfect example on how the term limited edition does not always mean for the better.
Even so, the e-Golf Limited Edition should be able to appeal to consumers that simply want a simple electric vehicle without the premium items. With the e-Golf Limited Edition, they will still get to enjoy 199ft-lbs of torque produced from the electric motor.
