We think we’ve write pretty much stories about the Volkswagen Diesel scandal, and it just doesn’t seem to stop. More recently, Paramount pictures bought a proposal for a film by author Jack Ewing, who has been covering the scandal for New York Times. The company will be working together with Appian Way, a production company belongs to actor Leonardo DiCaprio.
From what we know, the aspect of the proposed film will be the meetings and decisions of high-level executives at Volkswagen, besides their plan to use software that can trick the U.S EPA emissions tests while publicising the clean diesel aspects of their cars.
Micheal Horn, Volkswagen CEO mentions that the company was aware of the cheating on a large scale way back in 2014 and there are reports that said cars as old as the 2009 models used the cheat software.
We don’t know what to say about this matter. In fact, the production of this video would make Volkswagen to look bad with what’s going on to the company. The issue must be serious enough for it to be filmed and shown to the public.
