Toyota is coming out with the Toyota Mirai, which will be the first mass-produced hydrogen fuel-cell car. According to Automotive News Europe, The Japanese automaker is going to send about 100 cars to Europe in 2016 and 2017, and about 90 percent to the UK or Germany.
The latter country gets more cars due to the reason that it will have 50 working hydrogen refuelling stations by the end of the year, and 65 stations online in the UK by the end of the decade.
The Toyota Mirai will be lease-only business. The monthly lease rates will be about 1, 200 euros ($1, 362) in Germany and 700 pounds ($1, 081) in the UK.
For 2015, Toyota will produce 700 units Toyota Mirai, 2,000 next year and 3, 000 units for 2017. For the US, the fuel-cell vehicles are set to arrive by the end of the month. The price of the Toyota Mirai is $57, 500.
